SPC stands for stone plastic composite: a rigid core board with a wear layer on top, made to look like timber. The Alpine boards click together as a floating floor, are waterproof and come with an acoustic underlay already attached. Hybrid suits kitchens, living areas and laundries.

Hybrid flooring is on display alongside the tile ranges, so you can compare it with the timber look porcelain planks from Stoneworld, which can run from the kitchen out to the alfresco. Jacqui has been in this business more than 10 years and will help you work out which one suits the room.
